Gunner is an adorable 3 1/2 month old JR/Rottweiler rescue pup, and he is being spoiled by his Grandma already! His welcome package included his very own Maggie May blanket of course, a couple of crate pads and bandana’s. He has a new loving family with a great big yard, he is one lucky boy, and we think he is going to be A-OK!

We could not have thought of a better way to say thank you to Tammy, of Sugar Town Quilt Co., for quilting our creation, our 2nd Anniversary Quilt – Compassion, other than to make a very special Maggie May blanket for their dog Diesel. It was quite the surprise today, when the package arrived in Cranbrook, to Diesel’s attention. Tammy and her husband Jay, love their Diesel to bits, even though she thinks Diesel loves her Dad best, and vice versa! Well, we surprised them all and wouldn’t have it any other way. We love the prints we used, and think they suit Diesel perfectly.

Team “In Memory of Maggie May” raised $560 for the SPCA Walk For A Cause, and their fight against animal cruelty. It was a fun day for humans and their doggies and all for a good cause! There were contests for the dogs, including who can lick their bowl first, the waggiest tail, and kisses being handed out by Miss Jackie for 25 cents. The highlight though was meeting Willow and Trooper, which is what this walk is all about.

We are excited to reveal our 2nd Anniversary Quilt, we love how it turned out! It has been many months in the making and incorporates all the pet names and fabrics used in our Maggie May blankets from May 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015.

We have caught up on our orders from the Agility Championships and are all out for delivery to Vancouver, Courtenay, Edmonton, & Sherwood Park! It was fun working with all the pet Mom’s in selecting the fabric combinations that are perfect for their fur kids! The fabric and pet names will also be incorporated into next years anniversary quilt!
If you are wondering and want a chuckle as to what HRH stands for on Finnegan’s blanket …… “HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS” and Bella’s Mom had a very special request, she wanted her blanket to be just like Maggie’s, so we found a small bit left of the colourful border print that we were able to incorporate.

Ayla was the proud winner! They could hardly wait to pick up their custom quilted pet blanket today, created in her Mom’s colours, blues and silvers. We also did the honours and embroidered their Moto ….. “WAG MORE BARK LESS”. Great words to live by!

Cathy, the owner of What’s On! Port Coquitlam, came across “In Memory of Maggie May”, while shopping at the Pet Food N More store in Maple Ridge. The staff were telling Cathy all about us and our cause. She took one of our information cards, and contacted us. She loved what we were all about, and being a big animal lover herself, she wanted to help. She offered to do for us a complimentary full page layout in the September/October edition of their magazine. Wow …. we cannot express our gratitude enough for Cathy’s kindness and generosity!

We had a request for a bright and colourful blanket for Evey and Ryder, a Cocker Spaniel and a German Shepard. We have been told that the colours suit the décor and their Jamaican flair perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier!

A great success! In Memory of Maggie May had a booth at this years Championships at Swangard Stadium. Our fundraising and meet & greet event went extremely well. We raised awareness for our cause and raised much needed funds for the Maggie May Memorial account, through the raffle, our Maggie May pet blanket and quilted crate pad sales. We thank everyone for their support. We loved talking about our Maggie, even though we still get teary eyed. We received wonderful feedback of our cause, and we know Maggie is smiling from above. We learned about the sport and took in some of the action, plus we took just a few photo’s!
