We had a great time yesterday at our Meet & Greet event. We thank Dylan and his team at PET FOOD N MORE for their warm welcome, and their support of our cause. We met wonderful people and their adorable furry kids! We shared stories, and talked about Squirt & Josie. We thank everyone for their donations and Maggie May blanket orders, we can hardly wait to get started! We will be doing more of these events …. stay tuned!

Find out how you can help or to apply for assistance. We will share stories about our recipients, Josie and Squirt. We will have sample blankets and fabrics on display, and we would love to take your order! We will be taking entries to Maggie’s Birthday Blanket Contest, so bring your Furry Friends too.

The good news is that Josie is happy and responding well to her medication. She is enjoying life, playing with her siblings, and loving the snow. She has however been diagnosed with a luxating patella, with surgery likely in the future. Nalyn is dedicated to Josie, her little miracle, and for now is working on getting Josie’s weight down, doing laser therapy and the water treadmill. She is using Toe Grips, which help on the slippery floors, plus she may be getting a brace for support as well. Please keep Josie in your thoughts and prayers. We surprised Squirt with her very own Maggie May blanket to snuggle into to! It came just at the right time as she has reacted with bouts of nausea after this weeks chemo treatment, but after speaking with her Mom last night, her nausea has settled down and is feeling much better. The vet also did an ultrasound this week and reports that everything looks great….FANTASTIC NEWS!

Josie and Squirt are both going in for their next treatment this week, they are in our thoughts and in our hearts. They are doing wonderful and we hope to get another update soon.
We are so grateful that we could give them the support that they needed, and it is because of your generosity, through donations, blanket and belly band orders that we could.
Dr. Maja of Healing Paws Veterinary Care, is not only a member of the Maggie May team, she also donates a portion of their wellness exams to the memorial fund. We are also in the process of shipping our 3rd order of Belly Bands to Alberta Lost Pet Locator and Rescue Society.
We thank you all!
2015 is upon us and we have goals, hopes and wishes. We wish all your Fur Kids a healthy and happy year. We hope for greater compassion in our animal world and our goal is to continue to grow and help those in need, with a few surprises during the year.
We start off the year with another Belly Band order from Alberta Lost Pet Locator and Rescue Society, take a moment and check out the wonderful work they do.
We wish Squirt all the best tomorrow as she goes for her next round of Chemo treatments. Josie continues to excel and live life and we wish nothing but the best for her. We will keep you updated on their progress.

Happy news from Josie…….she is officially in remission! She continues her cytosar treatments to keep her immune system suppressed and has started underwater treadmill sessions and laser therapy for her luxating patella. Josie is truly a miracle, she continues to excel and amaze her doctors and people all around her. Nalyn never once gave up on Josie, she believed, hoped and gave her the chance to survive. Josie is living the life she was meant to live, and we couldn’t be happier. Follow her story on our Tails of Help page.
