5 special pups in Alberta are going to be warm & cozy, cuddled in their new Maggie May blankets! Their blankets just arrived, and we’ve been promised a family photo for Christmas! Sweetie Sloan just joined the family and is being taught the ropes and who rules, we think he will fit in just fine!

These are furry friends that have received financial assistance from the Maggie May Memorial Fund. We maybe a small organization, but we have made a difference in their lives … and that makes us smile. Fundraising is hard work and we are always thinking of new ideas. It’s with your donations, blanket & crate pad orders, that we are able to do what we do.
Christmas is a perfect time for a snuggly soft blanket ….. and if you don’t mind my saying, may I recommend a “Maggie May” blanket as that something special for your special fur kid. We first met sweet little Rosie 2 years ago, when we delivered her first Maggie May blanket, and it was an extreme pleasure to meet up with her again the other day …. and yes, she now has 6 blankets! Rosie is a very much loved and cared for member of the Linder family, and when Rosie told her Reiki healer she wanted a pink blanket, she was going to get a pink princess blanket! It didn’t take her long till she was snuggled into her blanket and fast asleep. She is an amazing little girl, that at 13 years old, she has a great zest for life, continues to overcome obstacles, and gives the most awesome little kisses.

This afternoon, we had the pleasure of presenting our 2015 2nd Anniversary Quilt “Compassion” to Elio & Vegas. Elio & Vegas, along with their humans, Kim & Rob, are the winners of this years donation raffle that raised $502 for the Maggie May fund. They loved the quilt, it was more than they ever expected and have the perfect spot for our creation. We thank everyone for their support, and Kim & Rob, especially want to thank the girls at Pet Food N More, for pulling their ticket!

Finnegan and Fysti’s Mom loved our Maggie May Blankets so much, that she ordered more as Christmas presents for her furry friends. Paris, a Black French Bulldog, Molly, a Rottweiler, and Chewie, a Black Labrador Retriever. Their Maggie May blankets are in the mail, well in time for Christmas. Photo’s to come, and we can hardly wait to see how the colours match their personalities (especially Molly’s).

Congratulations to Elio & Vegas, they are the winners of this years anniversary quilt. Supervisor Jackie & the girls, Mikalya, Lori & Christina of Pet Food N More, Maple Ridge store, did the honours and drew the lucky winner yesterday afternoon, but we had to wait reach the winners before we could official announce.
We look forward to presenting our quilt to the lucky winners shortly! Elio & Vegas, and their parents are very excited, especially as they are both incorporated into this years creation.
We thank everyone for supporting our fundraiser …. we sold 138 tickets and raised $502 for the memorial account!

It was a gorgeous sunny day in North Vancouver today, well maybe not, but we persevered through torrential rain and hurricane force winds. Anytime we are able to raise funds for Maggie’s Memorial Account and spread awareness of our cause ….. it’s a success!
We think most of the doggies were snuggled someplace warm, but Maggie & Hugo dropped by for a visit! The Korna girls were awesome, they helped set up our canopy and surprised us with a donation from their own gift basket raffle! We met some lovely other humans too, they donated for a chance to win our anniversary quilt and are spoiling their furry ones with some special custom work.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! This Saturday, October 10th, we will be at Korna Natural Pet Supplies, North Vancouver store at 1174 Marine Dr, from 11 -4.
Come, meet our team and share in Maggie’s spirit! We will have information about “In Memory of Maggie May”, tell you how we started, what our goals are, share stories about our recipients, and show you how you can help and how you can apply for financial assistance. We are there to answer your questions.
We will have our ready-made blankets and crate pads on hand for you to purchase or you can create your own and order a custom pet blanket from our fabric samples. Net proceeds go to the Maggie May Memorial Fund and all donations are gratefully accepted.
Our 2nd Anniversary Quilt “Compassion” will also be on display, it will be the LAST CHANCE to check it out, and to get your raffle tickets, before the big draw at 4pm on October 11th.
We met Q & Jennifer of Korna at the National Agility Championships in August, and we thank them for their generosity and invitation to hold this event at their store.
