We have named this years anniversary quilt “PAWPRINTS”. No matter what our pets do, they touch us in a way no human ever could. Their pawprints dwell in our hearts forever. Their love for us is undeniable, and our love for them is also undeniable. We are better humans because we have them in our lives.
We are dedicating our quilt to the furry friends we have lost this year …. Gavin, Elsa, Sawyer, Cooper & HRH Finnegan. May you be at peace and know you are forever loved.
Our quilt includes the fabrics and names from our personalized blanket orders between May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2018. This gives us time to design, create, and have it professionally quilted in time for the reveal on September 12th. We will once again raffle it off on our anniversary October 11th, the anniversary of Maggie’s crossing over the rainbow bridge, with all proceeds going to the Maggie May Fund.
We have 28 names this year : Fender, HRH Finnegan (HRH Blanket Club), Piper, Ru & Richochet, Fixx, Ripple & Star, Jinx, Athena, Jackie & Louie, Nova, Rosie & Nia, Max, Ranier, Fysti, Elsa, Na’vi, Kira, Sawyer, Tucker, Takoda, Cooper, Bandit, Pawsh & Raine.
Our Anniversary quilt also includes fabrics from special memory quilts we created in the name of Ru & Richochet, Rosie & Nia & for Pawsh Pet Services which has over 35 pet names incorporated and is in honour of the pets that she cared for over the years, a quilt created in a way that we can add names later on.
We are sending an extra special thank-you to Tammy of Sugar Town Quilting Co, in Cranbrook for once again donating her time and cost to professionally quilt our creations. We were so late getting the quilt to Tammy but she did it right away for us and we got it back just in time for us to finish by reveal. Tammy has quilted all our anniversary quilts, and it’s her beautiful work that makes our quilt that much more special.
