We recently checked in with Josie’s Mom, and she is happy to say that Josie is doing so well, spiritually and physically. She’s finally living the life that she never had a chance to enjoy. It’s baby steps, but she is not running away from strangers in the dog park now. All 3 of Nalyn’s dogs get a lot of attention, but she always has to remind people, that Josie and Sapphire are still a bit timid of strangers. She says an older lady crouched down with Josie, but she actually sniffed her, instead of running away!
Josie still goes for treatments every 6 weeks, but over-all, Nalyn and her Doctors say she is doing amazing! She is definitely putting even more pressure on her bad leg, they are on week 4 of therapy, and there has been huge improvement. Josie loves to play and be outside, just like any other happy dog!
In Nalyn’s words …”She puts a huge smile on my face every time I see her. I feel truly blessed to have her in my life and to continue on this journey with her. I can’t believe that it’s almost a year that this has happened to her. I am really glad that her story has touched and given people inspiration and hope! It honestly warms my heart to see how many people supported her through her difficult time”.
Josie’s treatment is lifetime, and we are so glad that we were able to be there for her, to be on this journey with her. Josie will always be a part of the “In Memory Of Maggie May” family!
